Happy Halloween/Wednesday Everyone!

I hope you have enjoyed your past couple days off. After a lot of thought about this past
weekends games, I have come to the conclusion that what our girls struggle with is confidence
against away teams. We play with a lot of confidence in AZ (against some teams) but once we
are out of our comfort zone, we let our nerves get the best of us. We need to figure out how to
perform even under the most stressful conditions and perform well at that.

That said, I have composed a list of positive affirmations for the girls to say to themselves.
It has been proven that saying these positive affirmations or sayings to themselves every day
will improve their confidence as individuals which will then improve their athletic skills. I will hand
these out to the girls on Thursday at training. Hopefully we will be able to test out these positive
affirmations and see their effect on the girls at this weekends game! I would like them to say it
before they go to school, practice and games. This may be the key to unlocking their "swag".

We will train on Thursday this weekend from 745-900pm at Highland Junior High.
Our game is on Saturday at 9 am at Quail Run.
Please arrive by 815am and we will begin warmups at 830am.
Hopefully they can take away some of their experience in Vegas and put it towards
our journey towards a state championship title!

Thank you all for your hardwork and dedication as we make the journey that no other
AZSC team has made! Thank you also for your hard work in not yelling at the ref and
being more positive, I think it has helped a lot. Lets keep pushing forward!

Coach Update - 10/22/2012

Hello All-

Congrats on the win on Saturday. Second half the girls played awesome and I was very pleased at the progress they have made in these past few weeks. We just need to figure out how to play like that all the time. We will continue to work on possessing the ball and switching the point of attack while playing quickly.

However, I would like to address parent behavior at games. I should NEVER have to tell you guys to settle down more than once in a game. If this ever happens again, I will take your daughter out and she will not play the rest of the game. If it continues to happen, I will make the parents sit on the opposite side as the team because this is an unnecessary distraction for the girls. This has gotten way to out of hand, because I received a nasty email from a parent on the other team this morning. Please read below as this is a result of your actions and there have been actions taken against me by the club as well. We will have a team meeting with all the girls and parents tomorrow night. Please be there. The meeting will be @ 8:15 pm. We will use the last 15 minutes of our training session to talk because this is a big issue we need to address.
