Hello all-
It was nice to see some of the parents at the Luau on friday night! I think it was a great success! I was sure the 99 parents would be the hit of the party as they always are :) Thank you for those that attended!
It was good to get the girls out on saturday and see them playing against the older girls. I think they showed skills they have not displayed in the past being composure on the ball and moving the ball quickly, however I don't think they responded well to the heat. I will continue to be on them that the weather should not impact their play and that they need to continue to work hard in any given weather conditions and circumstances (especially early morning games)! Thank you all for your dedication as I attempt to push them to the next level.
HUUUUUGEE game this weekend for the girls! They have a lot to prove this weekend and if they perform the way they know how to then we should easily take care of the team this weekend. Reminder I will not be there this weekend but Coach Mike will be covering the game. I will be in Pullman, WA for my sister's senior game! Of course I will be on my phone texting Mike and Randi giving me updates. They should perform for Mike as they do for me, that is to be expected!
I gave the girls a "Soccer Cheat Sheet/Bible" on Saturday at training. It is a packet of the main points of each position for both attacking and defending situations. Please go over it with the kids and make them come to me if they have any questions. This is a reminder of the small roles they need to play in their position in game situations. I gave them expectations of every position in case they are thrown randomly in a different position so they have an idea of what their role is. I hope this packet helps them!
