Soccer Tips - Learn How to Play the Ball Faster

Learn How To Play Football Faster
Would you like to feel faster and smarter
than everyone else on the field? Read this article all
the way to the end and you can better understand how to
play at a speed higher than the competition.

Follow These Simple Principles To Play Football Faster:

Get Your Head Up. You cannot play quickly if your eyes are
looking down at the ground. If you want to improve your vision
it comes down to you telling yourself to "get your head up" more often;
with the ball, without the ball, your head should be up and
your eyes should be actively scanning the field.

Attack.
If you don't know what to do, keep it simple. Before
the ball even hits your foot, your head is up, and you are asking:
Can I attack? If yes, what is the best form of attack. Usually passing
to a teammate and advancing to get the ball back is your best option,
but if there is some open space to dribble into, take it with speed.

Keep possession.
If you cannot attack directly, keep possession of the
ball. Without possession of the ball, the other team cannot score.
Without possession of the ball, the other team is forced to chase you,
get tired, and consequently leave gaps in their defense for you to ATTACK!

Keep moving.
Standing still in the same spot is the worst thing you can
do if you want to play quicker. Continually change your passing angles.
Support the play or make a run into new space to get a pass.
When you pass the ball, don't admire your pass, move into
new space and get that ball back.

In the end you have to push yourself.

On your own, in team practices, in real games:
Can you do everything faster?

If you are always trying to push the speed at which
you play, eventually it will become so natural to you that
you will only have two speeds: 1) fast and 2) faster.

*I should quickly address rhythm of play. There are certain situations
in games where you need to slow the play down, keep possession, let
your team relax and regain your composure. But even then, the
basic skills are performed with speed and efficiency.
