Turkey Cup - Last Call! URGENT RESPONSE REQUIRED

We could also go royal with neon yellow letters?

Turkey Cup Details below.....

Good Morning Team managers,

Just a quick reminder that your Turkey cup registration packets/donated food are DUETONIGHT 11/12 at Discovery park between 530-830. We will have a table up top where you can drop off registration and food for the food drive (SOUTH END OF PARK, BY THE DROP OFF AREA)

Packets must have ALL waivers, fee and donation of 3 canned foods per mom player.

**Reminder- BONUS for the team that donates the most canned meats/proteins gets to start their first game, for the 1st half with an extra "mom" player!! (ex: tuna, chicken, spam, peanut butter..)  We will need to have all donated food in tonight, to make this count run smoothly!  Again, we are hoping to make a sizable donation to our local food pantry- Open Arms Pantry here in Gilbert, especially before the Thanksgiving Holiday!

At this point, we have heard from 9 Mom's Teams!  
Please let me know ASAP if there are any changes OR new additions at this point!!!

Once all registration packets are in, we will get scheduling underway.  Please count on arriving around 530pm to check in on Wednesday and to stretch! Coach Tara will warm the group up around 545 for about 10 minutes and games should start at approximately 6pm.  Each team will play a minimum of 2 games, with the top 4 advancing for the final rounds to battle it out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place! 

Rules

  • Shinguards MUST be worn at all times!
  • 6 v 6 on the field, including GK
  • 24 min total game time, 12 min halves, with 3 min half time
  • Good sportsmanship required!
  • ONLY MOM's of currently registered Thunder players allowed!  There will be NO tolerance for sneaking in players!!!
  • No Offsides
  • Referees will check both teams and their equipment before game, utilizing the match card with players names
  • Substitution allowed: 
    • Between halves
    • After a goal is scored by either team
    • After an injury on either team
    • Own teams throw in
    • Either teams Goal Kick

  • Tournament will be based on a standard points system- 6 pts for a win, 3 points for a tie, 3 points awarded up to first 3 goals scored, 1 point for a shut out (for a maximum 10 points per game).  


Pizza by the slice, hot chocolate and popcorn will be available for purchase at the event!  All PRO DJ's will be out with great music and games for the kids ,and SAMORI will be out to sell winter/spirit gear and to take orders!!

We sill need volunteers for concessions, trash pick up and tear down!  Great way to knock out your volunteer hours!
